Hope all the daddies out there had a good weekend! We had a super busy one - but lots of fun. On Friday, I surprised Andrew with a date night (sans child). We went to Friday's After Five for a few drinks and then to this new restaurant called The Local, which was really yummy. After dinner, we noticed the bar across the street had live music, so we went in - only to find out that it was a private party. It would've been fine had I not walked in and made a big production by singing and dancing to the music. Everyone was staring, and I just kept singing - for like 10 minutes! Embarrassing! On Saturday, we spent the day with the entire Ellinger clan at our community pool. Mia was going under the big mushroom that has water pouring off it - not intimidated at all. My sister got some really cute pictures that I'll post as soon as I get them from her. That night, Andrew and I fixed a dinner for my
parents because it's mom's birthday today, as well (Happy Birthday, Nana!).
parents because it's mom's birthday today, as well (Happy Birthday, Nana!). Today, Mia and I fixed breakfast in bed for daddy (I got some hilarious, bed-head pictures of this, but have been forbidden to post them on the blog). After Mia's nap, we went to this local man-made beach that we just found out about, which is about 5 minutes from our house (we really need to venture out more). And, then we went to a local orchard for ice cream and peaches. Whew! We're exhausted, as you can imagine. Mia's really exhausted. We had to wake her from her afternoon nap because she had slept more than 2 hours and it was 5:00. And, then she went to bed again around 8:00. Fun in the sun is tiring!

We enjoyed the day so much on Sat! Watching Mia in the water is just the best - she's a little fish already. Thanks, again, for my b'day lunch & dinner celebrating my special day as well as Father's Day for your dad. It was great having fun w/ family. Love to all, nana
